A rare good news for PIA employees from management

*KARACHI: The management of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) hasdecided to promote its employees, holding an MBA degree, to a higher grade.*

The PIA staffers possessing MBA degrees have been told to contact theirrespective station managers to proceed with the requirements for thepromotion.

While station managers have been directed to forward the data of relevantemployees to the HR units concerned.

It has also been decided that the assessment test would be conducted ofemployees with MBA degrees. Sources said the test would be held through anInstitute of Business Management.

Later, a board of PIA will hold interviews of successful candidates beforepromoting them to the next grade.

Meanwhile, a report regarding fake degrees of pilots and cabin crew membersof Pakistan International Airlines as presented before the Senate StandingCommittee on Aviation on Wednesday.

The government members insisted on a strict action against those holdingdegrees, however, the opposition didn’t back the government call, sourcessaid.’

Chairman of the committee, Mushahidullah Khan, expressed dissatisfaction onthe report and said unnecessary delay was witnessed in action against thefake degree holders.

“It is beyond comprehension that charge-sheet in the case was issued fouryears later after issuance of show-cause notices,” he said.
