ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated his government’scommitment to ensure accountability across the board without showing anyleniency.
Addressing distribution ceremony of Sehat Insaf Cards in Rajanpur thisafternoon, he said if a corrupt person is arrested, some people startmaking hue and cry and term this action as anti-democracy.
The Prime Minister said what an irony it was that rulers spent public fundsfor their personal benefits. He said Shahbaz Sharif ruled Punjab for 10years, but he failed to establish any quality hospital where rulers andother influential people get treated.
Imran Khan said he will try his best to make Pakistan a welfare state byupholding principles of justice and humanity laid down by the State ofMadina.
He directed Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid to expedite reforms ingovernment hospitals in the province to improve health facilities so that acommon person can get his treatment there.
The Prime Minister also distributed health cards among some of thedeserving families of district Rajanpur. He said Rajanpur is the mostbackward area of Pakistan and his government is going to start health cardsdistribution to facilitate people of this area.
He said this campaign will be further expanded to other parts of Punjab. Hesaid under the Sehat Insaf Card, a family can get medical treatment upto7,20,000 rupees.
