MURREE – Pakistan Army and PAF teams have been send to Nathiagali to rescuestranded tourists in the valley

Pakistan Military’s spokesperson, Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, has said that ateam Pak Army and Pakistan Air Force sent in support of civiladministration to rescue stranded tourists in Nathia Gali, a scenictourists’ destination.

Director general, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that a rescueteam each from Pakistan Army and PAF, carrying medicines and food items forstranded tourists, has been sent to support the civil administration in thearea to carry out the rescue operation.

A disturbing situation exists in Tauheedabad area near Nathiagali wherethe tourists are trapped as heavy snow has covered the roads. Moreover; thelocal residents are also suffering due to the closed routes.

The heavy snowfall in the areas of Murree, Nathiagali, Abbottabad, Ayubiaand other mountainous areas of the country have disturbed the daily routinein the scenic valley.
