LAHORE – Additional IG CTD Rai Muhammad Tahir is reportedly being removedfrom his post along with DIG and SSP CTD, Private media has reported.

Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe the Sahiwal incidentpresented the fact finding report to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar onTuesday.

A high-level meeting presided by Buzdar is reviewing the report.

Significant decisions are likely in the meeting whereas the option to formjudicial commission is also under consideration.

Additional Inspector General (IG) Establishment Ijaz Shah, who is headingthe Joint Investigation Team (JIT) revealed earlier that six officers ofthe Counter-Terrorism Department were under detention and statements offour eyewitnesses were recorded so far.

The JIT members examined the crime spot to review every aspect of theincident. Members from the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) andIntelligence Bureau have also been included in the team.
