LAHORE – Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) MajorGeneral Asif Ghafoor has responded back to the allegations levelled by theAfghan authorities over the Haqqani network involved in the attack onKabul.
He asserted on Monday that allegations of terror attacks by Haqqani networkin Pakistan are baseless.
ISPR DG conversed with anchorperson Kamran Shahid in an exclusive interviewthat aired tonight.
He said that institutions of Pakistan are fighting extremism and terrorismand stability is important for Pakistan. Allegations of attacks carried outby Haqqani network are false, he added.
Major General Bajwa said that democratic setup in Pakistan has no threatfrom the military and that the setup would continue without hiccups ifpositives of democracy are delivered to the people.
Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa believes inabiding by the constitutional limits and that he briefed the senators inthe first ever in Pakistan’s history, DG Bajwa added.
He said that the Army Chief respects democratic setup.While talking about forthcoming General Elections 2018, ISPR DG said thatthe military would act according to the instructions.
