Special Assistant on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam Khan has said the government's Ten Billion Tree Tsunami program will undergo an independent third party evaluation to ensure its transparency and credibility.

Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad on Monday, he said World Wildlife Fund, Food and Agriculture Organization and International Union for Conservation of Nature are signing an agreement for this purpose.

The Special Assistant said an in-depth planning has been done for the ten billion tree tsunami project which is now being executed in cooperation with the provinces.

Amin Aslam Khan recalled the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa successfully implemented Billion tree tsunami project.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul said Ten Billion Tree Tsunami is a revolutionary program of the PTI government. She was confident that the third party evaluation of the project will help attract investment in the afforestation.
