LAHORE - Punjab government has decided to begin scrutiny of Pakistani and foreign Madrassah students.
The provincial government will launch examination of Madrassa students from the scratch across Punjab, according to which the students and their families will be made to sign an affidavit that they have not had, and will not have, any sort of connections with banned/extremist outfits, reported *Express News*.
Students who will not sign the affidavit and fulfill the required terms and conditions will not be allowed in Madrassas.
Moreover, the provincial government has also tightened its grip on foreign students seeking education in Madrassas across the province. Students who fail to provide relevant documents or whose visa duration has ended will be made to leave the country.
An intelligence report submitted before the Punjab government revealed that 375 non-resident students, whose visa limit has ended, are still seeking education in the country.
