LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Thursday that a certain part of Baqir Najafi's Model Town report was objectionable.
Rana Sanaullah said that the objectionable part of the Baqir Najafi report should not be made public.
"If the report is made public then there is a possibility that sectarianism will be promoted," he said. "The issue is being heard by a full bench--a decision by the single bench is wrong," he added.
Rana Sanaullah said that there were certain statements in the report which were not at all related to the truth.
"We are ready to make public the report minus the objectionable part in it," he said. "A judicial commission's report is for the government--it is not related to investigation," he added.
