KARACHI: (APP) Sindh Assembly on Wednesday unanimously passed a resolution to condemn the anti-Pakistan slogans, controversial and provoking speech by the founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) from London on August 22, 2016 against Pakistan's ideology and sovereignty.

The MQM-London Chief addressed the participants of MQM's hunger strike camp outside Karachi Press Club on August 22, 2016.
The resolution, tabled by MPA Khurram Sher Zaman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, also strongly condemned the attacks on the media houses especially of a private channel.

"The House condemns all kind of crime, torture, terrorism and anti-Pakistan slogans or activities, and calls for strict legal action against the responsible under Article 6 of the Constitution of Pakistan," the resolution said.

Sindh Assembly also expressed its full solidarity with the Parliament, the armed forces, media, judiciary and all the democratic institutions of the country.
Members of the Provincial Assembly belonging to MQM Pakistan also fully supported the resolution.
