QUETTA, (APP): Balochistan Assembly passes three resolutions
The legislators in the session of the Balochistan Assembly adopted three resolutions unanimously, seeking recruitments of Balochistan youth in PTV, connecting M-8 to Dera Murad Jamali and appointing female photographers at NADRA and Passport Offices, respectively.
The assembly session held with Speaker, Ms. Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani in chair, here on Friday evening.
The Pashtoonkhawa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) MPAs including Nasrullah Khan Zeeray, Agha Syed Liaquat Ali, Abdul Majeed Achakzai, Manzoor Ahmed Khan Kakar, William Jan Barkat, Ms. Spozmai Achakzai, Ms. Masooma Hayat and Ms. Arifa Siddique tabled the resolution which reads there was no more enough transmission of Pakistan Television in the province.
"It was responsibility of quarters concerned to provide complete transmission of PTV in all federating units," it said, adding that but the installation of required number of PTV boasters could not be completed in Balochistan during last few years.
It said that no person from Balochistan was recruited against 150 approved posts in PTV for last several years.
The resolution demanded of the provincial government to approach the federal government for installations of boasters, approval for new boasters and ensuring recruitment of Balochistan's youth against 150 approved posts in PTV Quetta Center.
The MPAs among them Mir Izhar Hussain Khosa, Mir Aamir Khan Rind, Mir Abdul Majid Abro and Ms. Rahat Jamali moved a resolution which reads that M-8 Motorway connected Kashmor with Nasirabad division via Shikarpur but the passengers had to cover a long distance.
It said that if this road was connected with Rabi Canal Dera Murad Jamali by passing it through Phanwar Sanri, Manjhi Pur, Sohbatpur and Jhanda Talab, then the distance would reduce by 125 to 135 kilometers.
It said that the reduction of distance would help local passengers of Quetta to timely reach Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, Raheem Yar Khan and Faisalabad while it is also policy of the federal government to reduce distance.
The resolution demanded of the provincial government to approach the federal government, urging it to connect M-8 Motorway from Kashmor to Rabi Canal Dera Murad Jamali by passing the road through the areas mentioned above in order to reduce the traveling distance of commuters of Balochistan.
MPA, Ms. Kishwar Jattak tabled the resolution which said that Balochistan has its unique status due to its tribal norms and traditions where women were given special respect.
She said that but male photographers drew pictures of women instead of female photographers at NADRA and Passport Offices which was violation of tribal traditions.
She urged the provincial government to contact with the federal government for appointment of female photographers at NADRA and Passport Offices in Balochistan.
The Speaker put all three resolutions to the house which passed them unanimously. Later, the session was prorogued.
