ISLAMABAD: Full dress rehearsal for Pakistan Day is being held today while mobile phone service has been suspended by the government till 3 PM in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
As per details, full dress rehearsal is continued here at Shkarparian Parade Ground while contingents of armed forces participated in this rehearsal. Fighter jets of PAF led by Air Chief will demonstrate fly past.
The contingents of Frontier Corps are also taking part in full dress rehearsal parade while contingents of Northern Light Infantry, Islamabad Police, Women Officers, Nursing Services, Boys Scout, Girls Guide and SSG are also participating in the rehearsal.
Pakistan Army Machining units, Armed Corps, Signals, Army Strategic Command Force, Artillery and Army Air Defense Contingents are also taking part in full dress rehearsal.
PAF fighter jets including JF-17, F-16 and F7 PG are demonstrating fly past while Army Aviation Helicopter are also demonstrating fly past in the rehearsal.
Strict security arrangements have been made by the federal government to avoid any unpleasant situation. Rawal Dam, Faizabad Fly Over and Zero Point Road have been closed for public transport.
