Govt taking measures to make Pakistan an enlightened country: Marriyum

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb says the government is taking measures to make Pakistan an enlightened country as envisioned by Father of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Addressing a photographic exhibition on birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam in Islamabad today (Wednesday), she said Quaid-i-Azam's core principles unity, faith and discipline are guidelines for us to achieve the desired goals.

She said, in 2013, the terror related incidents were at its peak but now the menace of terrorism has been controlled considerably due to unmatched sacrifices of the entire nation.

The Minister said darknesses of load-shedding has also been eliminated from the country and today, power generation is more than the demand.

She said a campaign of cake cutting ceremonies regarding birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam is also being launched and to take part in the campaign the participants can send their cake cutting videos on Whatsapp number 0310-5803550, which will be telecast on 25th of this month.
