ISLAMABAD – Government and opposition have reached an understanding to makethe parliamentary legislation effective in order to resolve the issues ofthe people.
The agreement came during a meeting between Leader of the Opposition in theNational Assembly Shahbaz Sharif and Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiserin Islamabad on Friday.
Underscoring the importance of government and opposition working togetherfor promotion of parliamentary democracy, the Speaker said we have to riseabove the party politics to play our due role.
Shahbaz Sharif thanked Speaker National Assembly on issuing productionorder for Khawaja Saad Rafique. He said the Speaker is running the housebusiness on non-partisan basis which has raised the prestige of theparliament.
