BEIJING – Chinese Foreign Office has responded over reports of US troopswithdrawal from Afghanistan.
To a question regarding reports of withdrawal of the US troops fromAfghanistan and Syria, she said that China’s position on these two issueswas consistent.
Hua Chunying said that as the close neighbour of Afghanistan, China stoodfor the Afghan-led and Afghan-owned inclusive reconciliation process.
“We are willing to make concerted efforts to achieve long-term peace andstability in Afghanistan helping the Afghan people to enjoy peace andstability at an early date.

To another question about Syrian issue, she said that the Chinese sidealways believed that sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity ofSyria should be respected and the future of Syria should be determined byits own people.
The spokesperson said that China would like to work with the internationalcommunity and continue to play a positive and constructive role in theearly settlement of Syrian issue.
