ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ministry of Information and Broadcasting hasdecisively unveiled the falsehoods propagated by Indian RAW controlledmedia outlets, commonly referred to as “godi media,” in a calculatedcampaign to malign Pakistan. These outlets have deliberately misrepresentedstatements by Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq, former Prime Minister of Azad Jammuand Kashmir, by stripping them of context to falsely implicate Pakistan inthe recent Delhi blast. The ministry emphasized that such distortions are arecurring tactic employed by Indian media to fabricate narratives andjustify aggressive postures.
In a detailed rebuttal, the ministry clarified that Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq’saddress to the Azad Kashmir Assembly comprehensively reviewed his tenure inoffice, with the full proceedings broadcast across multiple channels.During the speech, he referenced Pakistan’s robust policy of counteringIndia’s proxy terrorism in Balochistan, underscoring the effective militaryresponse mounted by the Pakistan Armed Forces during Operation Haq. Thisoperation marked a resounding defeat for Indian forces, a historical factthat the former premier highlighted to affirm national resolve.
Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq further elaborated on the decisive strikes executedby Pakistani forces, noting that infiltrations deep into enemy territoryresulted in losses so profound that India has yet to account for all itsdowned aircraft. These remarks were drawn from established records of theconflict and carried no allusion to contemporary events like the Delhiincident. The ministry stressed that the speech’s excerpts, circulated invideo form, pertain solely to past military engagements and bear norelation to any recent explosions in India.
Indian godi media swiftly twisted these words, producing erroneoustranslations and claims that the former premier had “admitted” Pakistaniorchestration of the Delhi blast. Assertions such as “India will not beable to count the bodies” were invented through mistranslation, whilesocial media platforms affiliated with India’s Research and Analysis Wingamplified the disinformation. This coordinated effort aligns with NewDelhi’s pattern of attributing unsubstantiated blame to Pakistan forinternal disturbances, including false flag operations to manufacturepretexts for escalation.
The ministry’s report categorically rejected these allegations, affirmingthat the quoted phrases from Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq’s speech have zeroconnection to the Delhi blast. It urged international observers toscrutinize the full context of the address, available through officialbroadcasts, to discern the truth from fabrication. Such propaganda not onlyundermines regional stability but also erodes trust in credible journalism.
In light of escalating tensions following the Delhi and Islamabad blasts, the ministry called for restraint and evidence-based discourse. Pakistanremains committed to defending its sovereignty while exposing attempts toincite conflict through deceit. The international community must hold mediaaccountable for disseminating unverified claims that risk broaderconfrontation.
