FATF greylist: Pakistan introduces new advanced identification system across all airports in the country

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan introduces new state of the art identification systemacross all airports in the country.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has introduced a new passengeridentification system at all airports in the country for the procurementand prevention of smuggling and money laundering.

Pakistan Customs has launched a risk management system to identifytravelers at seven airports in the country. Under this system,pre-identification of passengers will be possible.

According to the statement, the system is designed keeping in mind theimplementation of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) action plan.

With this system, drug smugglers and money launderers will be caught.
