Largest Sikh Yatrees contingent arrives in Pakistan from India

LAHORE – A largest contingent of Sikh Yatrees have arrived in Pakistanfrom India, private media has reported.

3,800 Indian Sikh yatrees reached the Wagah railway station to participatein the 549th birthday of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Jee on Wednesday.

Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Ihsan Tahir welcomed theyatrees.

Talking to the media, ETPB Chairman Ihsan Tahir said that he congratulatesthe Sikh nation on the birthday of Baba Guru Nanak. “I welcome all yatreesvisiting Pakistan. Islam gives full rights to all minorities,” he said.

Sikh yatrees leader Sardar Amarjeet Singh expressed his love for Pakistanand said that he has visited the country twice. “Pakistanis care us verymuch,” he added.
