KUALA LUMPUR – In an unprecedented move Pakistan and Malaysia move towardsVisa abolition between the two brotherly countries.
Both states on Friday signed an agreement on the partial abolition of visafor travel between the two countries amid Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit.
In a statement, the Malaysian foreign ministry said the two Prime MinistersMahathir Muhammad and Imran Khan witnessed the signing ceremony after talksin Kuala Lumpur.
“FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Malaysian Home Minister Tan Sri Dato HajiMuhyiddin signed the MoU on Partial Abolition on Visa Requirement, in thepresence of PM Imran Khan and Malaysian PM Mahathir Mohamad,” ForeignOffice spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal tweeted.[image: Embedded video]link

Further details about the visa requirement are yet to be known.
Earlier, the two countries agreed to further strengthen cooperation indiverse fields and said both sides will highlight new areas for futurecollaboration.
Pakistan prime minister and his Malaysian counterpart Mahathir Mohamad helda joint press conference in Putrajaya, vowing to boost bilateral ties andcooperation in various fields.
