The price of one tola link gold reached106,481 after an increase of Rs2,000 per tolalink, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In the international market, the price of gold increased by $4 and reached$1785 per ounce.
The price of gold also increased as the rupee has lost all its gains itscored against the US dollar in the inter-bank trading on Thursday morningand by the closure slumped by another 49 paisas taking the greenback to thehistoric high of Rs173.96.
