Pakistan has raised the issue of ‘forcible’ buriallink of iconic Kashmiri leader Ali ShahGeelani link by the Indianoccupation forces at the UN link.
Pakistan has also called on UN’s Decolonization Committee and the SecurityCouncil to take action to end India’s colonialization of Jammu and Kashmirlink and enable its people to exercisetheir right to self-determination.
“Eradicating colonialism is part of the unfinished agenda of the UnitedNations,” Ambassador Munir Akram emphasized in a speech to the GeneralAssembly’s Special Political and Decolonization (Fourth) Committee onWednesday.
After his speech, delegates of India link andPakistan had a verbal duel over the Kashmirlink dispute.
In his remarks, Ambassador Akram said that the Indian occupation of Jammuand Kashmir link is the “worstmanifestation of modern-day colonialism.”
Since 1946, 80 former colonies have gained independence, he pointed out butstill the people of Jammu and Kashmir link andPalestine are among those who are denied the right to self-determination.
