Pakistan registers increase in Foreign Direct Investment in FY 2021 – 22

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The net foreign direct investment (FDI) into Pakistanhas increased by 16% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis in the Financial Year2020-21 and on a month-on-month (MoM) basis, it’s a 108% increase,according to the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Commerce and Investment AbdulRazak Dawood.

In a Twitter statement on Thursday, the adviser said that the totalinvestment was US$ 236 million in September 2021 while it was recorded US$203 million in September 2020.

“Inshallah, we are expecting more FDI in the upcoming months in thedifferent sectors and I am sure it will create more job opportunities,” theadviser wrote.
