The Financial Action Task Force (FATF link) onThursday retained Pakistan on its grey list despite the country ‘meetingall the 27 points’ proposed by the global anti-money laundering watchdog.
“Pakistan link remains under increasedmonitoring. The Pakistani government has two concurrent action plans with atotal of 34 action items,” FATF President Dr Marcus Pleyer said whileaddressing the media following the meeting.
He said Pakistan link has “addressed or largelyaddressed” 30 of the 34 items of the FATF linkplan to curb money laundering and terror financing.
