Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif had tohastily return to London just 48 hours after his recent arrival in Lahore,as revealed on Thursday.
On August 21, the former prime minister had traveled to London, where hiselder brother and PML-N party leader, Nawaz Sharif, has been residing forthe past four years following his conviction. Shehbaz had returned toPakistan on Tuesday after spending at least a month in London. The news ofShehbaz’s swift return was announced by PML-N’s information secretary,Marriyum Aurangzeb, on the social media platform X.
The timing of the party president’s visit aligns with that of PML-N vicechairperson Maryam Nawaz, whose trip was planned in advance. According tosources, Shehbaz’s return was prompted by urgent matters that needed hisattention.
These sources further indicated that during her visit, Maryam will addressother significant issues and update the PML-N leader on the preparationsbeing made for his eventual return to Pakistan.
