RAWALPINDI: In a horrific incident, a Religious cleric has been arrestedover charges of child abuse in Rawalpindi, media report has revealed.
Rawalpindi Police arrested the cleric on charges of child abuse inRawalpindi, on Saturday morning. Superintendent Police Mazhar Iqbal in aTwitter post revealed that a 12-year-old boy was sodomized by Maulvi LiaqatHussain at a mosque located in Dhamial Camp where the victim used toreceive religious education.
SP Iqbal added that a preliminary investigation and medical examination ofthe victim prove that the suspect had sexually abused the child. Iqbalshared the harrowing details in an emotional video posted on Twitter.

The police official said the cleric had gathered his sympathizers afterbeing accused of child abuse, and even the parents of the victim refused tobelieve that the cleric could be involved in such activities.
