RAWALPINDI – Government has started the preparations for the constructionof Dodocha and Chahan dams.
Petroleum Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan and MPA Wasiq Qayyum will visit thesite of Chahan dam and review the on-going work. Qayyum also said that theconstruction of the dams will begin this year, while the Chahan dam will beconstructed by 2021.
The total cost of the Chahan dam construction will be around Rs5 billionand it will provide 6million gallons of water to around 0.25million homesin the NA-59 Rawalpindi constituency.
