First ever medical mall in the history of Pakistan to be established in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – Prominent United Arab Emirates-based MBF Group has announced toestablish an integrated medical city that will also feature a first-evermedical mall of the country in Islamabad.

The agreement of MBF with Ibchez Housing and Nixon, according to thereport, will include the construction of a hospital that will providemedical services at international standards. MBF Group Founder SheikhMuhammad Bin Faisal Al Qasimi said the project will include a 400-beduniversity hospital that will offer the most advanced levels of healthcareservices. The medical city will also feature the country’s first medicalmall, therapeutic and recreational areas, a regional cardiology centre andan orthopedic centre, he added.

He noted that the city will include a nursing college and is expected toserve some one million patients and clients on a monthly basis. There is aneed for such advanced hospitals to serve Pakistan’s growing population, hestressed.

Sheikh Muhammad Bin Faisal Al Qasimi pointed out that the investmentprovided for the medical city has reached $970 million, while noting thatits land has been purchased, as well as the desire of all parties tocomplete the project on time, in a bid to answer the growing demand formedical services in Islamabad and provide specialist health services thatare in short supply.

He informed that the group will manage the city’s 1,000 medical, technicaland administrative staff, who will all be Pakistanis, and is responsiblefor providing medical equipment and beds.
