LAHORE – In a big breakthrough, Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD)arrested two terrorists in an intelligence-based operation.
A huge cache of explosives and weapons, including hand grenades were alsorecovered from the suspects.
Reportedly the terrorists were linked to the militant Islamic State (IS)group.
According to a local media reportlink,they also recovered money from them that was being used for terrorfinancing. It was reported that IS terrorists possessing arms andexplosives were present at Stadium Morr on Vehari Road, Multan and planningto target vital installations.
After receiving information, CTD personnel launched an operation involvingintelligence teams and arrested the suspected terrorists.
A case was registered at the CTD police station in Multan.
