Indian Forces conduct major cordon and search operations in Occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, Indian forces launched a cordon and searchoperation in Kreeri area of Baramulla district on Sunday.

The operation was jointly launched by Indian Army’s 52 Rashtriya Rifles,Special Operations Group and Central Reserve Police Force.

The troops seized all entry and exit points of the area and starteddoor-to-door search operation.

Indian police filed a case against six Kashmiri youth for their role infreedom movement. The youth include Tanveer Laway, Shahnawaz Butt, ImtiyazButt, Gulzar Wani, and Azad Wani.

Meanwhile, the High Court of occupied Kashmir has overturned the draconianlaw, Public Safety Act against a man, Sartaj Ahmad Dar, booked under theact in February, this year.

On the other hand, police recovered throat-slit body of a man undermysterious conditions in Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Islamabaddistrict.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called for settlement of theKashmir dispute through democratic means to avert a big catastrophe in theSouth Asian region.

The APHC in a statement issued after its meeting in Srinagar, stronglycondemned India’s suppression of Kashmiris’ genuine struggle for freedomthrough brutal military means.

It warned the policy of keeping the issue in cold storage has all thepotential to destroy the entire South Asian region.

The statement expressed grave concern over the deteriorating healthcondition of APHC Chairman Syed Ali Gilani and appealed people to pray forhis speedy recovery.
