SRINAGAR – The security forces on Saturday recovered a bullet-riddled bodyof a police constable abducted by militants on Friday night.

Salim Shah was abducted by militants in Kulgam and his body was recoveredfrom Qaimoh Gath area in the district.

“Our colleague Salem Ahmed Shah was abducted and killed by terrorists inKulgam. We condemn this cowardly act. We all stand by his family at thiscritical juncture,” tweeted Kashmir police.

Salim who was on leave was allegedly abducted by unknown militants from hisresidence in the Mutalhama area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir.

Last month, bullet-riddled body of riffleman Aurangzeb was found at Gussuvillage, about 10 km from Kalampora in Pulwama district. He was belongingto 4 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry and was posted at the 44 RashtriyaRifles camp at Shadimarg in Shopian.
