RAWALPINDI – Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General MajorGeneral Asif Ghafoor on Saturday said that the Election Commission ofPakistan (ECP) has requisitioned armed forces under Article 220 and 245 ofConstitution to assist them in free, fair and transparent conduct ofElections 2018.
In a statement issued on Saturday, ISPR DG Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said thatthe armed forces shall undertake this mandated duty enabling people ofPakistan to freely exercise their democratic right in safe and secureenvironment.
The ISPR DG said that the armed forces will perform well their assignedduties.
