ISLAMABAD – Advisor to Prime Minister for Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood saysa free trade agreement has been signed with China and he will visit Chinato meet Chinese Trade Minister on 15th of next month.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Friday, he said Chinesenon-government organisation will visit Pakistan next month to providetechnical expertise in textile sector. He said Chinese companies intend tomanufacture textile products in Pakistan.
The Advisor said government’s policies for the uplift of economic situationare on right track and economy cannot be strengthened without enhancingexports.
Speaking on the occasion, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing saidChina has opened its ninety percent market for Pakistani products.
He said Pakistani fruit, including mangoes, and fishery have been givenduty free access in Chinese markets.Chinese Ambassado said Chinesecompanies are relocating their supply chain. He said with one percentrelocation to Pakistan, the country can expect an investment of 600 milliondollars.
