Pakistan and Iran opened Pishin-Mand Crossing Point adjacent to Kechdistrict in Balochistan on Wednesday to strengthen their trade and economicrelations.

The ceremony was attended by Minister for Defence Production, Zubaida Jalaland Iranian Minister for Road and Urban Development Muhammad Islami.

It is the third border crossing between Pakistan and Iran.

Addressing the event, Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal saidthat it is historic step for Pakistan and Iran and for the people ofBalochistan in particular. She said that the relations between the bothcountries are being strengthened under the leadership of Prime MinisterImran Khan.

She said the border crossing will prove to be a milestone in providingemployment and trade benefits to the residents of the area.

These border crossings will not only help boost bilateral trade between thetwo Muslim neighbouring countries, but also promote tourism in the area.
