The Government of Sindh has announced a public holiday on 23 March(Thursday) 2023on account of Pakistan Day throughout the province.
In a notification issued by the Services, General Administration andCoordination Department of Sindh, it stated, “The Government of Sindhdeclares 23rd March, 2023 (Thursday) as Public Holiday on the occasion of“Pakistan Day” throughout the Province of Sindh,”
However, the public holiday does not apply to essential services, includingthose engaged in Covid-19 and flood relief duties.
Meanwhile, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has also declared bank holiday onMarch 23, 2023 on the occasion of Pakistan Day.

The central bank in a statement stated that the State Bank of Pakistan willremain closed on 23rd March, 2023 (Thursday) being public holiday on theoccasion of ‘Pakistan Day’ as declared by the Government of Pakistan.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange will also remain closed on account of PakistanDay on March 23.
