ISLAMABAD – PM Imran Khan sets a new precedence in the history of Pakistan.
The Federal Cabinet was informed that Prime Minister has taken lead incutting down PM House expenditure by 31 percent during the currentfinancial year resulting in savings of 303 million rupees.
Prime Minister Imran Khan reiterated his call for maximum possible cut inexpenditure and directed all the ministers to ensure the implementation ofausterity drive in letter and spirit.
Addressing the Federal Cabinet in Islamabad today Thursday), he alsodirected a nationwide campaign be formulated to launch crackdown againstthe sale of adulterated milk.
The meeting decided that a panel of suitable officers for posting againstthe slot of Secretary of a ministry would be proposed by a high-levelcommittee. It also decided that normal tenure on the post would be twoyears and can be extended to three years on the basis of performancereviewed by the Prime Minister in consultation with the Minister in charge.
The Cabinet granted ex-post facto approval of MoU on industrial cooperationbetween National Development and Reform Commission of China and FederalBoard of Investment of Pakistan. It also accorded approval Memorandum ofUnderstanding between Yunnan Minzu University, China and NationalUniversity of Modern Languages. The meeting also approved Memorandum ofUnderstanding between Government of Pakistan and China Overseas PortsHoldings Company Limited under Clean Green Pakistan Movement.
The meeting also granted approval the revision of visa fee for variouscountries under visa liberalization regime and ratified Visa AbolitionAgreement between Pakistan and Cyprus for Diplomatic and Official/ServicePassport Holders.
