*ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned the National SecurityCommittee meeting on Thursday.*
Overall security situation, Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav’s case in theInternational Court of Justice, Pulwama attack and other issues would bediscussed in the meeting.
Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak, Minister of State for InteriorShehryar Khan Afridi, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, FinanceMinister Asad Umar, heads of intelligence agencies and other securityofficials would attend the meeting.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan, on Wednesday had declared that therewould be no comprise on the sovereignty of the country.
Chairing a meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentaryparty at the Parliament House on Wednesday, the prime minister had said,“The message [Pakistan] had to give to India has already been given. Wehave given India a clear message on Pulwama attack.”
Advising against the escalation of tensions between the two neighbouringcountries, he said Pakistan will act like a responsible state. “There willbe no compromise on the country’s sovereignty,” he avowed.
Briefing the participants of the meeting about the recent visit of SaudiCrown Prince Muhammad bin Salman (MBS), PM Khan said the Saudi royal’svisit remained highly successful.
