ISLAMABAD: Dubai-based Emirates Airline Monday announced a change to theirbaggage allowance policy which will come into effect next month (Feb 4).
According to an Emirates circular, several fare types will have theirbaggage allowance reduced by 5kg. Starting next month, the airline willimplement a new free baggage allowance scheme for Economy flyers. Recently,the airline separated Economy fares into four ticket types: Special, Saver,Flex and Flex Plus, Khaleej Times reported. From February 4, Special andSaver ticket holders will have an available baggage allowance of 15kg and25kg respectively. Originally, these tickets allowed for 20kg and 30kg ofbaggage.
Flex and Flex Plus allowances will remain the same. Tickets issued beforeFebruary 4 will still follow the old baggage allowance scheme stipulatedbelow
