LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif may land into trouble overthe alleged irregularities in the Ashiana Housing Scheme Project as Rs 1billion has been misutilised in the said project.
He will tomorrow (Monday) appear before the National AccountabilityBureau’s (NAB) combined investigation team (CIT) in connection with analleged graft in a housing scheme.
The Punjab CM took the decision to appear before the anti-corruptionwatchdog team was taken after detailed consultation with his legal experts.
The anti-corruption watchdog had issued a notice to Punjab Chief MinisterShehbaz Sharif asking him to appear before a combined investigation team(CIT) on January 22 (Monday) in connection with an alleged graft in ahousing scheme.
The NAB asked Shehbaz Sharif to answer queries in response to NAB’s claimthat his alleged misuse of authority resulted in loss of approximately Rs1billion in a housing colony project.
