Nasrullah, a sought-after commander affiliated with the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), landed in the custody of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Karachi, as reported by ARY News on Wednesday. According to a statement by Khurram Waris, the head of CTD, Nasrullah, a prominent TTP leader hailing from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), was apprehended in Karachi's Kuwari Colony, and a cache of weapons was seized from his possession.
Nasrullah had been on the run, wanted for his involvement in grave offenses such as terror financing and acts of terrorism. Additionally, he had been providing shelter to his accomplices in Karachi and extending medical aid to the injured.
Moreover, Nasrullah had a significant role in fundraising for the outlawed organization, employing various methods to accumulate funds that were subsequently funneled to Afghanistan. The CTD in-charge further revealed that Nasrullah's brother and a close relative were also implicated in these terrorist activities. This apprehension marked a notable blow to the TTP's network, as it disrupted their operations and financial resources
