LAHORE: The Supreme Court (SC) granted three weeks to the accountability court to wrap up proceedings in Al-Azizia reference against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members, filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
A two-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the request of accountability court Judge Arshad Malik.
Accountability Court Judge Arshad Malik had written a letter to the Supreme Court to seek another extension in the deadline to conclude the case.
Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's counsel Khawaja Harris also appeared before the bench for the hearing.
The CJ directed that Al-Azizia reference should be concluded within three weeks.
