PESHAWAR: (APP) Welcoming the reopening of the Torkham border, Chief of Kukkikhel tribe Malik Abdul Ghaffar Khan has asked the authorities to name the under-construction gate at Torkham border after Major Ali Jawad Changazi Shaheed.

Talking to reporters here, he reiterated support and said that the tribal people would fight along with the soldiers to defend the country.

He said that the tribesmen had always made sacrifices for the country and they were ready to offer assistance.

Malik Abdul Ghaffar said that the tribesmen had in the past fought alongside the soldiers to safeguard the country against foreign aggression.

He said that peace was restored in the country as a result of the unprecedented sacrifices of the security forces.

He said that acts of sabotage had reduced to a great extent owing to the sacrifices of the soldiers.

The tribal elder said that nobody would be allowed to undermine the country.
