Rehabilitation programme of KPK Government for drug addicts

ISLAMABAD: (APP) District administration of Peshawar has handed over 50 drug addicts to a welfare organization for treatment.

According to District Nazim office, these drug addicts were nabbed from Bacha Khan Chowk, Mufti Mehmood Flyover, Suray Pull and Firdous railway crossing, reported a private news channel.

Directions have been issued for appointment of an official to regularly keep an eye on the drug addicts.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has initiated a programme of rehabilitation of 2,000 drug addicts by providing treatment to them in Dost Welfare Foundation, Lady Reading Hospital and Hayatabad Medical Complex.

Under the programme, the drug addicts will also be provided technical training after their treatment.
