PESHAWAR: At least 10 people have lost their lives while 16 injured in a bomb blast near Khasadar check post Karkhano market, Peshawar.
As per details, forces Khasadar check post was targeted by terrorists near Karkhano market in Peshawar. There was firing after the blast and nearby shops and vehicles were also severely affected by blast.
Security forces and rescue teams rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area. The injured were shifted to Hayat Abad medical complex for medical treatment while emergency has been declared in all government hospitals in city.
Hayat Abad medical complex’s administration has confirmed death of 10 people while 16 injured are being provided medical aid. 2 security personnel and one child is also included in those who died in this incident.
The area has been cordoned off by security forces while Pak Afghan highway also temporarily blocked after explosion.
Security officials said that the exact nature of blast could not yet be confirmed but the blast seems to be a suicide attack.
