Seven terrorists belonging to a banned organization were killed in an encounter with Sindh Rangers in Shah Latif town, Karachi on Monday morning.
According to Spokesman of Sindh Rangers, the operation was carried out on information regarding presence of terrorists in the area. Seeing the Rangers, the terrorists resorted to firing.
Seven terrorists were killed in retaliatory firing of Rangers. A Rangers personnel also sustained injuries in exchange of firing.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists.
Meanwhile, Inspector General Sindh police, A D Khawaja has directed police officers to ensure security of Transport, markets and other business centers and take action against anti-peace and miscreants without any discrimination.
According to a statement issued in Karachi, the IG has also directed that SSPs themselves should monitor the actions being taken for protection of lives and property of the people.
He has also directed that anti riots platoon be kept in alert position.
