PML-N expresses solidarity with MQM

KARACHI: (APP) A five-member delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led by Sindh President Ismail Rahu Saturday visited the hunger strike camp of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) outside the Karachi Press Club.

The delegation members senators Salim Zia and Nihal Hashmi, MPAs Shafi Jamote and Sohrat Thebo met MQM leaders Dr Farooq Sattar, Aaamir Khan, Khawaja Izhar ul Hassan and others.

Later talking to media, Ismail Rahu said he along with other PML-N leaders had come here to express solidarity with the MQM hunger strikers.

"We have come here on the directive of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif," he added.

Rahu said the apprehensions and issues of the MQM would be listened to. "We are politicians and can find out solution to the issues through dialogue."

He said resorting to protest was one's democratic right.

Rahu said the Karachi Operation was being carried out with consensus of all the political parties and it had restored peace in the metropolis.

Nihal Hashmi said,"We have talked to the MQM leadership. The matters will be resolved through dialogue."
