KSE-100 index jumped to 49500 points after Panama case verdict

KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange strongly responded to the Supreme Court of Pakistan's verdict in Panama case on Thursday and its KSE-100 index jumped to 49500 points, and then the market closed at 48,700 points with 1100 points gain.

The market capitalization increased by more than Rs one trillion at Rs 96 trillion.

At the first session of PSX business, the investors were careful but later on, with the announcement of Panama case verdict the stock market shot up.

Energy, cement, steel, gas and chemical sectors portrayed as the leaders of the day. (APP)
