ISLAMABAD – *Pakistan plans Tourism sector boost through the multi billionsdollars CPEC project.*
The government of Pakistan aims to boost up its tourism sector usingChina-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Hassan Daud Butt, chief executive officer of the Board of Investment andTrade of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said that Pakistan is eyeing on tappingpotential of its tourism sector by attracting Chinese tourists to visitPakistan. He added that the road networks built under CPEC have enhancedthe scope of tourism in the country by making travel shorter and easier,quoted *Xinhua*.
The official said that CPEC enables Pakistan to tap the full potential ofits strategic location. CPEC has made Pakistan in a position to benefitfrom its strategic location by connecting it with the rest of the world, hesaid.
The ambitious CPEC project has entered the second phase, under whichSpecial Economic Zones (SEZs) would be built in Pakistan.
Days ago, Ambassador of China to Pakistan Yao Jing said that China wouldnow invest in building vocational and training centers as well as researchin agriculture and livestock sectors.
“Most of the CPEC projects are investment of Chinese companies and theseare not loans to the Pakistan government,” he clarified. Jing said CPEC waslaunched because of the friendship between Pakistan and China, adding thatChina wants progress and development all across Pakistan. He said thatChina would succeed in eradicating poverty among its people in the nextyear.
