ISLAMABAD: Unknown terrorists launched a premeditated attack on a policecheck post in Qila Abdullah district of Balochistan late Monday night,resulting in the martyrdom of the post incharge, Sub-Inspector Asadullah.
Eyewitnesses reported that heavily armed assailants opened indiscriminatefire on the Qabiristan police post and hurled hand grenades before fleeingunder the cover of darkness.
Sub-Inspector Malik, received multiple bullet wounds and succumbed toinjuries while being shifted to the district hospital.
Two other constables sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment at theCombined Military Hospital Quetta, with their condition stated as stable.
Security forces promptly cordoned off the entire area and launched a searchoperation to trace the attackers. Initial investigations suggestinvolvement of separatist elements active in the region.
