ISLAMABAD: A remarkable scene unfolded at the Dubai Air Show 2025 asseveral Indian Air Force personnel were photographed eagerly taking selfieswith Pakistan’s JF-17 Thunder Block III fighter jet, the centerpiece of thePakistan Air Force pavilion.

Social media footage showed uniformed Indian officers smiling and posingbeside the advanced multi-role aircraft, despite the longstanding rivalrybetween the two nuclear-armed neighbours.

The JF-17 Block III, co-developed by Pakistan and China, featurescutting-edge AESA radar, PL-15E beyond-visual-range missiles, and enhancedelectronic warfare capabilities.

Defence analysts described the incident as an unintended endorsement of theThunder’s technological prowess, with one Indian pilot reportedly callingit “a beautiful machine.”

Pakistan Air Force officials present at the exhibition welcomed theattention, stating that professional respect transcends borders.
