Turkish Military Chief held important meeting with PAKISTAN Navy Chief

ISLAMABAD – General Yaşar GÜLER, Commander Turkish Armed Forces visitedNaval Headquarters, Islamabadlink and called onOfficiating Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Muhammad FayyazGilani atNaval Headquarters, Islamabadlink.

Upon arrival at Naval Headquarters, the General was received by ViceAdmiral Muhammad FayyazGilani.A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistanlink Navy presented Guard of Honour.

The dignitary laid floral wreath at the Shuhada’s Monument and wasintroduced to Principal Staff Officers at Naval Headquarters. Duringmeeting, issues ofregional security& stability and professional matters ofmutual interest including bilateral defence collaboration were discussed.

Vice Admiral FayyazGilanihighlighted Pakistanlink Navy’s efforts forensuring maritime security in the region in the form of Regional MaritimeSecurity Patrols and participation in Combined Maritime Forces (CMF).Turkish Commander appreciated Pakistanlink Navy’s initiativesin support of collaborative maritime security in the region. Both thedignitaries agreed on further enhancing cooperation in various domains ofmilitary collaboration.

Vice Admiral Muhammad FayyazGilani also updated the dignitary about Indianlinkatrocitiesbeing perpetrated in the Indianlink Occupied Kashmirlink, theplight of Kashmiri people and Pakistan’s continued support for the just andrightful struggle.

He also thanked the dignitary for the support extended by Turkeylink on this humanitarianissue.

The recent visit link ofthe Commander Turkish Armed Forces will further augment and expand defenceties between the two countries in general and the defence forcesinparticular.
