This journalist attempted to createcontroversy by falsely claiming that Rizwan had dedicated Pakistan’svictory against Sri Lanka to Hamas. It’s essential to clarify that Rizwanhad, in fact, dedicated Pakistan’s win to Palestine rather than Hamas.
Despite the journalist’s efforts to stir up controversy, Cummins did notprovide the response he was hoping for. Cummins simply stated, “I loveseeing sportspeople, seeing their personalities brought out as well. So, nohugely strong thoughts either way.”
In a related context, other Pakistani cricketers have also expressed theirsupport for Palestine due to ongoing conflicts and inhumane attacks oninnocent Palestinians by Israel.
